Training on District Police Module (IVFRT)
District Police Module of IVFRT aims to equip the state police up to the district level with authentic foreigner`s information in their jurisdiction and enable the tracking of illegal immigrants in the country. DPM module provides the police officials with authentic foreigner information captured from various pillars of IVFRT namely Visa, Immigration, FR (Foreigner Registration), C-Form (Hotel / Accommodator data), and S-Form (Educational Institution/Hospital admission data). The officials can check the currently staying, overstaying, and non-reporting foreigner details in their jurisdiction. Besides, the system facilitates the biometric verification of a foreigner and a search for a foreigner’s details from the IVFRT database.
The online Look Out Circular portal facilitates the Opening, Modification and Deletion of Look Out Circulars by the Originator and Approval by BOI in online mode.
Hands-on training on DPM and LOC portals for Ladakh UT was coordinated by NIC Ladakh and DIG Ladakh Police on 10th Oct at District Police Office Kargil and 12th Oct at Police Headquarters Ladakh Police. The officials from DPO Kargil and District Informatics Officer NIC Kargil attended the session at the SSP Kargil office on 10th Oct. The officials from the DIG Ladakh office (State Nodal Office), District Police Office (FRO) Leh, FRO-TR (Tibetan Refugee office), and NIC Ladakh participated in the program at the conference hall PHQ Ladakh on 12th Oct.
Shri Tahir Mahajan, Scientist-E and State IVFRT Coordinator (JK and Ladakh) gave an online demonstration of the DPM application and explained the various features of the application in detail through the practical demonstration on the production server. The Visa search facility, Non-reporting foreigners, Immigration (Arrival/Departure), Overstaying and Currently staying foreigners, FRRO search (through Hotels, Accommodators, Institutions, Foreigner Registration), Biometric Identity Verification of foreigners, IVFRT Database search was demonstrated to the officials. During the demonstration, queries on various aspects of the application were replied to by Shri Mahajan.
This was followed by a demonstration of the Look Out Circular application. The issuance of lookout circulars against the individuals in the online system, forwarding to the Immigration Headquarters, Enrichment request processing, Generation of Acknowledgement and Messaging features were demonstrated by Shri Mahajan.
At the end of the session, the DIG Ladakh office and the participating officials thanked NIC for conducting the training session.
