Launch of e-Daakhil Portal in Ladakh: A Milestone for Consumer Empowerment.
Leh, November 22, 2024: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.), launched the e-Daakhil Portal for the electronic filing of consumer complaints. This innovative platform is designed to simplify the process of lodging complaints related to goods, services, and consumer rights, providing residents of Ladakh with a more efficient and accessible means to address grievances.
The Hon’ble LG emphasized that the e-Daakhil Portal would empower the people of Ladakh by offering a straightforward, user-friendly way to file complaints and track their progress, ultimately ensuring faster resolution. The e-Daakhil Portal is part of Ladakh’s broader commitment to digital governance and consumer rights. The URL for e-Daakhil application is https://edaakhil.nic.in.
The event, held at the LG Secretariat, Leh, was graced by distinguished figures including Hon’ble Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Kargil; Advisor to HLG Ladakh; Principal Secretary, School Education; Secretary, GAD Ladakh; Secretary, FCS & CA, Ladakh; Director, FCS & CA, Ladakh; Shri Shravan, Member, Consumer Dispute Commission; Shri Shri Punchok Paldan, Director, NIC UT Ladakh; Shri Achintya Gupta, Scientist-D, NIC HQ Delhi (e-Daakhil Project); Ms. Kunzang Dolma Scientist-B (NIC Ladakh) and other officers/officials.
During the event, Shri Yetindra M. Maralkar ,Secretary, FCS&CA appreciated the efforts of both the NIC Delhi team and the NIC Ladakh team for their dedication in ensuring the successful implementation of the e-Daakhil Portal, which will significantly benefit the people of Ladakh.
Shri G. Mayil Muthu Kumaran, highlighted the significance of the e-Daakhil Portal in streamlining and enhancing the grievance redressal system. He stressed the importance of raising awareness among Ladakh’s citizens and ensuring proper training for officials. He emphasized that digital platforms like e-Daakhil are key to advancing consumer rights and digital governance in Ladakh.
Achintya Gupta, Scientist-D, briefed about the key features of the e-Daakhil Portal, explaining how it provides an easy and efficient way for consumers to file their grievances online. He elaborated on the portal’s ability to allow users to track their complaints in real-time, offering updates on the status of their cases and ensuring transparency throughout the process.
