Visit of Shri Mohd. Saleem Khan, State Informatics Officer J&K/Ladakh

Shri Mohd. Saleem Khan, SIO, J&K and Ladakh, visited UT Ladakh on July 8, 2024, along with a delegation of senior officers from NIC J&K to review the projects and other activities of NIC Ladakh UT. The officer-in-charge, Shri Punchok Paldan, and other officers of NIC Ladakh UT warmly welcomed the delegation by presenting traditional scarves (Khatags) upon their arrival in Leh.

During the visit, SIO, J&K and Ladakh held a meeting with the officers of NIC Ladakh UT to discuss the status of various projects and activities. The officer-in-charge, Shri Punchok Paldan initiated the presentation with a brief overview of all agenda points. He also highlighted the requirements and issues faced in their daily operations, including ICT hardware/software needs, infrastructure-related issues, and the necessity for dedicated administrative staff for NIC UT centre.

SIO, J&K and Ladakh interacted with all the officers of NIC Ladakh UT and stressed the importance of developing high-quality ICT projects and applications, as well as preparing short tutorial videos and manuals to help users understand how to use the applications effectively. He assured the team that he will take up the issues and requirements with NIC HQ for their timely resolutions.

The officers from NIC J&K also ensured to extend full support to NIC Ladakh UT in implementing and replicating the online services and applications that are already in place in J&K UT.
