Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas Celebration at NIC UT Ladakh

On November 15th and 17th, 2023, the National Informatics Centre (NIC) in the Union Territory of Ladakh celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, a day dedicated to honoring and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the tribal communities. The event aimed to create awareness and celebrate the unique traditions, languages, and customs of the tribal communities in the region.

Activities: NIC Ladakh joined the PM program on VBSY along with the UT administration. NIC Ladakh also participated in the launch of vehicles by the Ladakh UT Administration.
The celebrations at NIC Ladakh also comprised various activities that engaged participants in a meaningful and educational manner. Two major events were organized – a poster competition and a quiz competition. These activities were designed to encourage creativity, knowledge, and participation among the attendees.

Poster Competition: The poster competition allowed participants to express their understanding of tribal culture through visual art. Participants were given the opportunity to showcase their creativity and convey messages related to the significance of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. The entries were judged based on creativity, relevance to the theme, and artistic expression.

Quiz Competition: The quiz competition was a platform for testing participants’ knowledge about tribal communities, their history, culture, and contributions to society. The questions were designed to be informative and thought-provoking. This activity aimed to promote learning and understanding of the diverse traditions and practices of the tribal communities in Ladakh.

Prize Distribution: The participants demonstrated commendable enthusiasm and talent in both the poster and quiz competitions. To recognize their efforts and encourage their continued engagement, prizes were distributed to the winners. The distribution ceremony was a moment of joy and celebration, with participants and attendees applauding the achievements of the talented individuals.
